A helicopter in flight

Helipad

Alba (Piedmont)

Private helicopter from Monaco or Nice to Alba, in the Langhe — about 40–45 minutes in the air. White truffle season, Barolo and Barbaresco estates, back the same evening. On request.

The helipad

Getting there

Alba has no public heliport: landings use approved sites in the Langhe hills — certain wine estates and country relais receive helicopters under permit, confirmed with your quote. Failing that, the aircraft lands at Cuneo-Levaldigi or Turin, with 45 minutes to an hour by road into Alba.

When to go

Alba's calendar is the white truffle's: the international fair runs from mid-October to early December, preceded by the September–October harvest in Barolo and Barbaresco. Spring is quiet, well suited to cellar visits without the autumn crowds.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Can we do the round trip in a day from Monaco?

Yes — it is the most requested formula. About 40 to 45 minutes' flight each way, the aircraft waits on site, and the return leaves at the end of the day. The same journey takes three to three and a half hours by road, each way.

Where exactly do we land?

On an approved landing site in the Langhe — a wine estate or relais depending on the programme, subject to permit and confirmed with your quote. Otherwise the aircraft lands at Cuneo-Levaldigi or Turin, followed by 45 minutes to an hour by road.

Do we book the restaurant or the truffle hunt separately?

No: the day is arranged as a single reservation. A truffle hunt with a local trifulau and a starred table are added on request when the quote is prepared.
