The helipad

Getting there

Crans-Montana sits on a sunny plateau above the Rhône valley, facing the Bernese Alps at around 1,500 metres. The resort appears in neither Swiss federal register: there is no registered heliport on the plateau. Arrival is at Sion, down in the valley, then up the road to the plateau.

When to go

Skiing from December to April, then a genuine summer season carried by golf and hiking on the plateau. Crans-Montana is one of those Swiss resorts where summer counts as much as winter.
