The helipad
Getting there
La Plagne spreads across around ten villages on the Tarentaise slope, from Plagne Centre to Belle Plagne and Aime 2000. Its helipad is listed in the French civil aviation authority's register of heliports. It opens onto the Paradiski area, linked to Les Arcs by the Vanoise Express, and onto the Olympic bobsleigh track built for the Albertville Games.
When to go
Season from December to April across all the villages. Demand for flights concentrates on Saturday changeover days, when the Tarentaise road and the climb to the higher villages saturate at the same time.
