The helipad

Getting there

Samedan is the Engadin airport, set on the Grisons high plateau at close to 1,700 metres — the highest in Europe. It is listed in the federal register and sits a few kilometres from St. Moritz, Pontresina and Celerina. St. Moritz also has its own heliport, closer still to the resort centre.

When to go

A long winter season, carried by the plateau's altitude and by St. Moritz's social calendar. In summer the Engadin lives on hiking and its lakes — real traffic, but more spread out.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Samedan or the St. Moritz heliport?

St. Moritz is closer to the resort centre. Samedan has the advantage of being a full airport, useful if you are connecting to a private jet. The choice follows your plans.

Is the altitude a problem?

It imposes particular operating conditions, taken into account when quoting and confirming the slot. The flight remains subject to weather over the plateau.

How much does a flight to Samedan cost?

No fixed fare is published. Every flight is quoted individually, based on date, departure point, passenger count and aircraft availability.
