Getting there
Grindelwald sits at the foot of the Eiger's north face, in the heart of the Jungfrau Ski Region. The nearest registered sites, at Männlichen above the village, are high-altitude platforms rather than valley transfer points. The practical arrival is therefore at Interlaken, then by road or rail.
Where you land
There is no registered landing site in the resort itself. The flight lands at Interlaken, then about 25 minutes by road or rail to the resort. See the Interlaken page
When to go
Winter from December to April across the Jungfrau Ski Region. In summer, Grindelwald is one of the busiest hiking bases in the Alps, with access to the Jungfraujoch — summer demand here is real, not residual.

FAQ
Frequently asked
Can you land in Grindelwald itself?
The registered sites above the village, at Männlichen, are high-altitude platforms meant for mountain flying, not transfer points. Arrival is at Interlaken, then by road or rail.
Road or rail from Interlaken?
Both take around twenty-five minutes. The train is often easier with ski luggage; we arrange whichever leg you choose alongside the flight.
What does the journey cost?
No fixed fare is published. The flight and the transfer are quoted together.
