Saint-Moritz lies in the Engadine, in the Swiss Grisons, above 1,800 metres. The valley is far from the major international airports, which makes the road journey long from almost anywhere — and the air approach correspondingly more useful.

Why does the flight from Nice take nearly two hours?
Saint-Moritz is on the far side of the Alpine arc. It is a long leg, but the road takes eight to ten hours, more in winter — the gap stays considerable.
Are there formalities to enter Switzerland?
Switzerland is outside the European Union but inside the Schengen area. Valid photo ID is required, and a passport for passengers arriving from outside Schengen.
Does the destination work in summer?
Yes. The Engadine is one of the few Alpine destinations with two full seasons, with summer traffic comparable to winter.
