The helipad

Getting there

The helipad serving Tignes sits at Les Boisses, the lower village of the commune, by Lake Chevril — not at Tignes-le-Lac or Val Claret. It is listed in the French civil aviation authority's register of heliports. Allow a short road transfer of a few kilometres up to the higher villages and the lift departures.

When to go

A long winter season, carried by the altitude of the ski area and the Grande Motte glacier. Rotations concentrate on Saturday changeover days, when the upper Tarentaise road is at its busiest.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Where exactly does the helicopter land in Tignes?

At Les Boisses, the lower village of the commune, by Lake Chevril. It is not Tignes-le-Lac: a short road transfer is needed to reach the higher villages, and we arrange it with the flight.

Yes. Tignes and Val d'Isère form a single linked ski area. If you are staying in Val d'Isère, we can also land you directly at one of its own landing sites.

How much does a flight to Tignes cost?

No fixed fare is published. Every flight is quoted individually, based on date, departure point, passenger count and aircraft availability.
